“Highly experienced Brazilian-Canadian guitarist, Rod Rodrigues has developed a literally superb technique over the course of his career, which has led him to record several albums and perform alongside some of the most renowned artists on the international scene. Crystalline class but also the ability to leverage the sphere of emotions: it is from the encounter between these two tensions that the art of the author of Tales Of A Changing Life comes to manifest itself in all its colorful and exciting perspective. The sounds are enveloping and intriguing, the tones warm, the architectures refined but without being cloying. Rodrigues prefers regional phrasing to speed as an end in itself, insinuating between the folds of the various compositions a typically Latin soul that constitutes a real added value (On The Road says it all in this sense).
